Professional Background
Engr. Muhammad Garba serves as Executive Director, Soil Engineering at Milestones Centre for Soil Restoration, providing the engineering oversight behind how the company's three licensed treatment routes, mechanical, chemical and biological, are designed and executed on site.
Milestones takes a specific position on technical design. Remediation proposals for arid, carbonate and hypersaline conditions often import performance figures from temperate climate projects where they simply don't transfer. Engr. Garba's role is to ground treatment design in the company's own evidence base, including Qatar University field trial data recording 53% TPH removal in biopiles over 90 days, against 30% under natural self purification over the same period, rather than imported benchmarks presented as measured results.
He brings over 30 years of engineering and construction management experience to that oversight role, having led civil works, procurement and site delivery across multiple Nigerian states before moving into environmental and soil engineering practice. That background in large scale, multi disciplinary project execution underpins how he structures Milestones' Remediation Action Plans, from site assessment through to close out.

- Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering, with a thesis on the design and construction of a reinforced concrete bridge
- Higher National Diploma in Architecture, graduating as best overall student
- Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE)
- Graduate Member, Nigerian Institute of Architects (GNIA)
- Chartered Project Manager, Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN)
